Student Debt Animation

I worked with the lovely people over at ThirdWay to animate two short 2D explainer videos focused on student debt and what congress needs to do to fix the current debt problem.

For this project they wanted to go with an almost paper cutout, stop motion type of feel. This meant creating a very stylistic approach to the animation, where the movements are much more key-framed than a traditional motion graphics video. It ended up being more time consuming, but VERY rewarding. Below is the second of the two videos:

I really enjoyed creating this playful style of animation and the client loved how it illustrated their point in an engaging and quick way.
